The listed organizations may be working internationally as well as at a regional, national or local level. They are not necessarily partners in projects or cooperating with KVINFO. The Alliance for Arab Women is a non-governmental organization and works as an umbrella organization for a network of non-governmental organizations. It cooperates with other Arab organizations to provide basic human security for women and offer services and programs within the frame work of human rights.
Aman Center is a Jordanian knowledge center and a news site bringing news on women, gender and human rights regionally and internationally. Through the website it is possible to choose any Arabic country and read information on women’s rights in the chosen country.
AIWF is a non-profit organization in London. The goal of the organization is to link Arab business and professional women in 22 Arab countries with each other and with their counterparts in the international community. AIWF provides a networking opportunity where women can build their knowledge and develop their business and career potential.
ANND is a regional network, working in ten Arab countries with national networks and non-governmental organizations as members. The network aims at strengthening the role of civil society, enhancing the values of democracy, respect of human rights, gender justice and sustainable development in the region.
AWMC is a non-government organization in Jordan focusing on the rights of women and their families. Its activities are among others media training and production of films about violence against women.
Women Gateway is a web portal designed to aid women by providing them with information, business and trade opportunities. The focus is on women’s issues and women empowerment in the Arab region.
Anaruz is a national network for Moroccan organizations working with women’s rights and fighting violence against women. The network aims to build capacity at the centres dealing with violence against women, to strengthen the corporation between centers. The goal is also to standardize the gathering, registration, analysis and distribution of information concerning gender based violence to the benefit of political decision makers as well as sector specialists and a broader, general audience.
