Yemeni women’s cause philanthropist passed away
Fatima Al-Aqel, Fatima al-Aqel, chairperson of AlAman Organization for blind women’s care in Yemen, has died. Fatima Al-Aqel lost her sight during her student years, but finished her studies even so. She held a BA Arts College, Cairo University and a Diploma in Islamic studies. She dedicated her life to establishing AlAman Organization for blind women’s care, fostering girls with sight disabilities. The foundation that began by nurturing 5 girls ended up with around 800 girls in its care across the country. Its main objective that was to integrate blind girls in all life levels, schools, universities and workplaces.
