    Seminar on Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women Under Islamic Sharia Concluded

    At the conclusion of its works here today, the seminar recommended the formation of a specialized committee to reconsider the Qatari reservations based on Islamic law to indicate the extent of agreement or disagreement provisions  and the possibility of lifting the reservations that are not based on sharia basis.

    Gender gap remains prevalent in Jordan — report says

    A shadow report on Jordan’s implementation of the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women showed that there is still a gender gap in the Kingdom because some laws foster gender-based discrimination, according to Senator Amneh Zu’bi.

Morocco: Women Battle Against Domestic Abuse
Countless Moroccan women continue to face abuse and sexual violence at the hands of their husbands.
